Miami is a great destination for tourists and residents alike. This article presents some of the best attractions to see and do in Miami:

1. South Beach
South Beach is where nightlife, trendiness, beaches and warm weather come together. From shopping to partying, South Beach is the hot spot of the city to hang out at night.

2. Miami Metrozoo
Miami MetroZoo is quickly becoming a popular and well respected zoo. The warm weather allows it to keep a variety of animals at one zoo including species from Asia, Africa, South America and more. One highlight is that there are no cages. Animals are grouped as they would in the wild to coexist together peacefully in the same space.

3. Seaquarium
The Miami Seaquarium is great for witnessing sea life of a tropical environment in an outdoor setting.

4. Go to the Beach!
Miami’s beaches offer a great chance to take in the sun. Get a tan, or enjoy the warm waters. There are also a plethora of water sports to do.

5. Everglades
It has 1.5 million acres of swamps, grass prairies and jungles. It’s located on the southern edge of Florida, and is home to many of the world’s endangered species, including the American Crocodile. A large portion of the park is untouched but vistors have the chance to walk around, canoe, camp and explore.

France has tens of thousands of hotels and B&B’s in fact there are more hotels in Paris than any other city in France, as this is such a popular destination for a short weekend break. There are also absolutely thousands of camping sites all over France, where you can pitch your own tent, go touring with a caravan or motor home, but for more convenience you could even hire a chalet already on site.

You can normally find campsites with excellent facilities that include swimming pools, shops, clubs, bars, entertainment, playgrounds, etc and are ideal for a family holiday. Some even offer other activities such as tennis, fishing, French boules, cycles for hire, and even games rooms with pool, snooker, etc, which can make for an ideal self-catering holiday at very little expense.

However, for those that are into adventure, you will not be disappointed with the range of activities on offer in France, such as canoeing, paragliding, abseiling, kayaking and rafting, horse riding, hiking, etc.

The Egyptians must have really liked the beautiful Island of Cyprus because they just kept on coming back. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that in those days (1500 BC) they didn’t have those luxury holiday resorts like Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh. Whatever the reason whether it was the sandy beaches or the great climate they just kept on coming back to her shores. They first took a trip there under the instruction of Thothes the third round about 500 BC but they only hung around Cyprus until the Mycenaen Greeks turned up. They (the Greeks) have been the main cultural influence on Cyprus since that time and Greek is the native language too.

Anyway, the Egyptians decided to pop back over to Cyprus again for another visit in the 16th century BC. It was all the idea of the top dude of the time who was some guy called Amasis. They however legged it rather promptly when the Persians arrived to embrace Cyprus into their ever expanding empire. This was not all bad news for the Greeks though because at least it introduced them to the decadent luxuries of those fabulous Persian rugs. Unfortunately for the Persians however there was trouble brewing on the far horizon in the form of a dude called Alex. Alexander The Great as he preffered to be known had been pretty busy conquering most of the known world and had a particular bone to pick with the Persians.

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean and whatever time of the year you plan to visit, the sun will be shining. Cyprus is an ideal place for a summer holiday and is a favourite destination with holiday makers, with over 2 and a half million vistors a year.

A holiday in Cyprus offers an unbelievable experience for groups of friends, family’s, couples and the lone traveller. Whether you visit for culture and history, the clean beaches, skiing or hiking in the Troodos Mountains, cycling, windsurfing, boating, diving and snorkelling, horse riding, or just for its warm atmosphere and relaxed vibe, you won’t be disappointed.

The most well known beach is Phinikoudes in Larnaca where the sand extends five hundred metres and is watched over by a lifeguard, offering total safety for children. It has well placed cafes and restaurants, markets, changing rooms and showers and facilities for a range of water sports and palm trees for shade.

Paphos is more cosmopolitan. It has its own fishing harbour and is a resort full of history, culture and fun with a variety of places to shop and eat, as well as up-market bars and lively discos.

Long National Paths

Often called sentiers de grande randonnee (or GRs for short), long national paths are mapped clearly and connect points together so you’ll be able to get from one GR trail to the next easily. GR trails cover around 38,000 miles of France and are typically blazed (or marked) with red over white (sometimes include yellow). GR trails are also numbered as GR2, GR5, etc.

Regional Paths

Regional paths (also called GRPs) cover and circle a particular region, and are only mapped when the trail is very long. GRP trails cover about 25,000 miles of France and are typically blazed with yellow over red.

Local Paths

Local paths (also called PRs) will direct you outward from towns and villages. You might try one of these trails if you want to tour a particular spot or attraction. PR trails cover more than 47,000 miles of France and are typically blazed with yellow only or other single colors if there are multiple paths.

GR and GRP trails cross paths in every region, which makes it easy to walk long distances from one village to the next while visiting France. You can view vineyards, orchards and forests along the way, and even stop for a stay at a hotel or bed and breakfast in one of the villages as you travel.
