Holidaying in England - A Recession Beating Alternative
Results just released by Keep Britain Tidy reveal that a total of 184 Blue Flags and Quality Coast Awards have been given to beaches in recognition of their environments and facilities.
In the south of England the seaside is in fine fettle - Devon has 12 Blue Flag winners, including the beaches at Woolacombe, Westward Ho! and The Tunnels, Ilfracombe.
The 71 Blue Flags awarded across England this year represents a fall of 11 from 2008, with the decrease blamed largely on flooding over the past couple of years. But the latest figures on QCAs show a major success story, with a rise from last year of almost 40% to 113 highlighting the overall quality of our coastline.

Ten Things You Should Not Miss While in Poland
1.) Old Town
Words can only capture so much of the beauty and timelessness that defines Stare Miastro. Take a walk or ride a bike or carriage for a tour of the city, and be mesmerized by the simple grandeur of the place. Pubs, bars, restaurants, etc. are plenty in the city, so you don’t have to worry when that tummy churns from hunger in this beautiful city.
2.) Warsaw
World War II did something to change the landscape of Warsaw, but the beauty of this city remains worthy of a stopover. Visit Warsaw and see for yourself the Royal Castle, the Wilanow Castle, the Lazienki Park, and other scenic sites that gives color and grandeur to this Polish city. The ruins of the Jewish ghetto wall are standing up to this day, a reminder for the many who perished in Nazi atrocities and the few who managed to come back.
3.) Sopot
Travel to Europe - France and the Benelux
One thing is for sure if you are visiting this zone of Europe. You must be in love with city tourism. If your passion is for the landscape, sightseeing, high mountains, lakes and running crystal water streams, this is probably not your place. Of course France has many interesting natural places to visit, but what I really mean is that you have better places to do this kind of tourism, such as Austria or Switzerland, which are discussed in another of my articles.

Scotland Culture
The main religion in Scotland is Presbyterian however; there are a large number of Roman Catholics residing in the country as well. These people are actually descended from the Irish immigrants that chose to move here back in the 5th Century. The other main religion to be found in this country is the Episcopal and which is very similar to the Church of England.
Scotland has always had a great respect that education and learning is important. Throughout the country’s history, you will find those who have acquired a university education even though their beginnings were very humble. Today, though students who do not have the funds to be able to afford to go to university and wish to do so may apply for funds from the Carnegie Trust Fund in order to do so. This fund was set up in 1901 by an American Industrialist called Andrew Carnegie, but who in fact was born in Scotland.
