Well, all of my aussie friends are out buying their hats for the Melbourne Cup!  The Melbourne cup is one helluva’ horse race.. indeed, it is known as the “race that stops a nation” and that is exactly what it does.

Race day has an extraordinary atmosphere.  Workplaces across the country shut down on Melbourne Cup Day, as the sweepstakes are drawn, the champagne and chicken dished out, and the wide screen TV angled so that everybody can see it.
