Turkey has long been a controversial country in the long line of history. The last ten-day of June is the time when the daylight is the longest and the night is the shortest in Finland. Finlander set the Saturday between 20th, June and 23rd, June as Midsummer Festival. Midsummer Festival was once an ancient feast day to remember the birth date of Baptist. As the time goes by, Midsummer Festival loses its religion color little by little and becomes a glorious festival of folk feature which is to celebrate the rosiness and the lush of everything on earth. All kinds of celebration activities would be held following the traditional custom all over the country on this day every year. Seurasaari of the capital city of Helsinki is the center for celebrating Midsummer Festival.

Finland is quiet. But in this time, numerous families who are all dressed up come to Seurasaari to take part in the every-year bash. We are attracted by a few women dressed in nation clothes when we just step onto Seurasaari after going across the long white bridge. They are wearing white blouses with flowery one-piece dress, head with colorful scarf and flower basket in hand. They attract a lot of travelers to take photos with them as they are so beautiful under the blue sky.

Hurry up and take the train with me as we are not going to get delayed!! Ryanair as always will be the cheapest airline to fly to anywhere within Europe, flying to Paris will be always the easiest thing to do and you can reach the city from Spain, Italy, Germany, UK, Ireland and Sweden.

In case you come from abroad, check any route that guides you to any of the mentioned countries above. After that, for 20 euros you will be able to make the round trip to Paris with Ryanair. If you come from the US, remember that the airline that flies cheaper from Florida is Alitalia. It lands in Milan and then you can take a flight to Paris. If you jump from New York, remember about the existence of Zoom Airlines that will bring you to London for about 350 euros round trip everything included. After that you will need to find an alternative airline to Paris as Ryanair does not cover this route.

The route is going to make a circle around the zone, so if you come from a zone that is very near to one of the intermediate points, you can of course begin and end at that point, it does not need to be Paris.

After deciding to move to Siberia for a year to teach at the Chita State Technical University, I embarked on a travel odyssey unlike any other. In this entry, we pick up the last stage of the seven-day trip to get there.

Siberia As Seen From A Train

In preparing for my trip, I had actually done some preparation. As a common man, I know most of you female readers will find this hard to believe, but I swear it was so. Yep, I had read up on books, rented movies and so on. I was familiar with the tundra, the forest and the perma-frost of Siberia. And I was going to see it all during the three-day train ride across Siberia. Au Contraire!

Apparently, the untamed wilds of Siberia are a bit farther north than where the Trans-Siberian Railway runs. During our train ride, we saw no forests, no mountains and pretty much nothing. It was like taking a really slow train ride across Kansas. There just wasn’t much of anything to see. I wish I could tell you differently.

End of the Road

Paris the Capital City of France is in the Ile De France region and is an international capital for art, fashion, style and romance. With the romance that Paris perceives, it is the number one destination for UK tourists and with over 30 million travellers per year from around the world, it is no wonder that this city has so much to offer.

Paris entertainment has always been at the forefront of the world in terms of quality and variety and from film, dance, opera, jazz, concerts, ballet, rock festivals and cabaret, there is always some form of entertainment on offer to suit all tastes, no matter what the time of year you decide to visit this vibrant and cultural city in France. There are two opera houses in Paris - the Opera Bastille and the Palais Garnier that hosts the Opera National de Paris. There are also many different rock venues that play host to a large number of international performers is also popular for its many dance clubs, nightclubs, and cabaret shows such as the Moulin Rouge, which has become famous throughout the world for its can-can, plus a multitude of different festivals that are held in Paris every year.

Today, I’ll give you six great attractions to see when you’re visiting Florence, Italy. When you visit Florence, bring some great walking shoes, as you’ll be doing a lot of walking throughout the often-crowded city. Also, try to visit in the spring or winter, which are cooler months.

Bargello

This is a fabulous art museum that was once used as a prison. Lots of Renaissance era art here.

Battistero

It’s a Baptistery that’s in the shape of an octagon. The Battistero is a great example of Roman style.

Campanile

Designed by Giotto, this marble gothic bell tower is magnificent. Prepare to walk though. There are just over 400 steps.

Duomo

The Duomo was finished in 1436 and it’s one fantastic cathedral. Aside from gazing at this magnificent structure, you can also attend a mass here.

Galleria degli Uffizi

This gallery is home to some famous art pieces, like Paolo Uccello’s Battle of San Romano. It’s relatively inexpensive. Tickets cost anywhere from $8-$12 USD.

Piazza della Signoria

What a famous plaza. In 1497, the bonfire of the vanities took place in the Piazza della Signoria. This square is also home to the Neptune Fountain, which dates back to the 1500s.
